Aviation, longevity, brain blood flow: Inside Deepinder Goyal’s entrepreneurial year

Aviation, longevity, brain blood flow

Deepinder Goyal had his hands full in 2025, not just with Eternal and the hypercompetitive food delivery and quick commerce businesses, but with other entrepreneurial ventures as well.

While the chief executive officer of Eternal, the parent of Zomato and Blinkit, continues to scale it up, he is also diversifying into deeptech, longevity, and personal research.

Here's a look at what Goyal has been up to:

LAT Aerospace

ET broke the news in March that Goyal has invested $20 million in LAT Aerospace, a startup founded by former Zomato COO Surobhi Das, where he serves as a non-executive cofounder.

This was one of his first ventures into deeptech. The startup builds low-cost short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft having up to 24 seats with a focus on regional air connectivity. It has since announced a 50,000-square-feet research and development (R&D) facility in Gurugram, and begun setting up in-house labs for airplane components.

Continue

One of Goyal's most ambitious personal projects, Continue is a health and wellness venture focussed on extending the human lifespan.

It emerged in late 2024 as a "personal wellness team" and later evolved into a research initiative. In October, Goyal committed $25 million of his personal wealth to "Continue Research".

This will operate as a research fund to back global scientists working on aging. Goyal describes it not as a standard startup, but as a multi-decade mission to democratise longevity science.

Many questioned the research Goyal and the team at Continue were propagating. A detailed post uploaded on the Continue website argued that the constant pull of gravity on the human body (specifically our upright posture) drags blood away from the brain over decades. The post claimed that this reduced blood flow is a primary, overlooked driver of aging.

The medical community heavily criticised the hypothesis. Taking to social media, doctors pointed out that the human brain has a robust mechanism called cerebral autoregulation, which maintains blood flow regardless of posture or gravity. Experts also warned that Goyal's advice to practice "inversions" could be dangerous.

Temple

In another deeptech foray, Goyal teased a new device to monitor brain blood flow named 'Temple'. He shared a first look at the small wearable gadget on a social media platform, captioning it, "Getting there."The device has drawn attention since Goyal was seen wearing a small golden sensor on his forehead. He explained in a LinkedIn post that 'Temple' is an "experimental device" designed to measure brain blood flow accurately, in real time, and on a continuous basis.

He also clarified on X that this is not a part of Eternal.
