In the clip, Helen opens up about her commitment to exercise, explaining that movement keeps her energised and mentally focused. For her, working out is not about aesthetics — it's about maintaining health, stability, and confidence while walking and going about daily life.
The session focused on practical exercises designed especially for older adults to improve mobility and prevent falls, simple yet effective movements that strengthen the lower body and enhance balance.
Sit-to-Stand
The first exercise involves rising from a seated position without relying on hand support. By shifting weight onto the legs and engaging the core, the movement strengthens the thighs, hips, and ankles. Repeating the sit-and-stand motion builds functional strength needed for everyday activities like getting up from a chair or bed.
Heel Raises
