Apple’s Fifth India Store To Open In Noida On December 11; Next Outlet Planned In Mumbai
Apple is stepping up its offline retail expansion in India with the launch of a new store in Noida on December 11, marking its third outlet this year and fifth overall. The company is also planning to open a second Mumbai store in 2026, as part of an aggressive push in the world's second-largest smartphone market.
“We love our customers in India, and this truly is a milestone year for Apple retail in the country. We're thrilled to be opening our third store this year, and fifth in total — Apple Noida — and to have the chance to connect with even more communities," Deirdre O'Brien, senior vice president of retail and people at Apple, told Moneycontrol.
O'Brien said the next phase of growth reflects the company's long-term commitment to India, with another Mumbai store lined up for next year. “With the opening of Apple Noida, Apple Hebbal and Apple Koregaon Park this year, we look forward to creating more meaningful connections and bringing only-at-Apple experiences to more customers across India," she added.
She noted that the company's five physical retail stores, together with its online store and app, now offer customers multiple ways to shop. The expansion comes amid record demand and a major manufacturing milestone, with all iPhone 17 models and the Air now being made in India for the first time. O'Brien said the Noida launch follows a strong response to the latest iPhone series.
Earlier this month, the company also expanded its services portfolio in India with the launch of AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for the newest iPhones.
Apple opened its first two India stores — Mumbai's BKC and Delhi's Saket — in April 2023. In their first year, the two outlets generated around Rs 800 crore in combined revenue, with nearly 60 percent coming from the smaller Saket store, Moneycontrol had reported earlier. This growth has come despite a wide network of premium resellers, thousands of multi-brand retail partners, and strong online sales through e-commerce platforms.
Talent development remains a core focus of the retail strategy. “For Apple Noida, and for every store we open in India, we are deeply committed to developing this talent," O'Brien said, adding that the company continues to hire as it scales its India operations.
According to fresh RoC filings accessed by Tofler, Apple's India revenue rose 18.26 percent year-on-year in FY25 to Rs 79,378 crore, while net profit increased 16.4 percent to Rs 3,196 crore. Analysts expect similar growth momentum in FY26 and FY27.

India has now become Apple's third-largest iPhone market globally, with the brand entering the country's top five smartphone makers by volume in Q3 2025, as per data from Counterpoint. iPhones currently command about 9 percent volume share and 28 percent value share in the Indian smartphone market, with premium leadership strengthening on the back of strong demand for the iPhone 16 and 15 series. Early sales of the iPhone 17 have already outpaced its predecessor.
With a rapidly expanding offline network, premium reseller ecosystem, and growing manufacturing footprint, analysts say Apple's India growth story has now shifted into a higher gear.
