Aniruddhacharya Claims Australia ‘Was Created By Lord Rama’. Desis Say ‘Aur iPhone Ka Aavishkaar Newton Ne Kia’
What's the origin story of Australia? Most of us would immediately think of its geographical or historical origins, but the spiritual leader and kathavachak Aniruddhacharya offered a religious explanation for Australia's formation.
In a video shared on Instagram, titled “Reality of Australia", Aniruddhacharya explained that the origin of Australia dates back to the time when Lord Ram fought with Ravana in Lanka to rescue Goddess Sita.
“Jab Ram-Ravan ka yudh pura hua toh unke yudh mein hazaron, lakhon talwarein padi thi kyunki sainik maare gaye, Lanka le log maare gaye (When the battle of Ram-Ravan finished, swords were left behind because the soldiers were killed, the people of Lanka were killed)," he said.
He added that crores of people had died during the war, including one lakh sons and nearly one and a quarter lakh grandchildren of Ravana. He continued, “Sochiye Ravan ke ek lakh beta aur sawa lakh nati aur Ravan ki sena kitna aur saari sena maari gayi toh sabke talwarein, sabke astra shastra wahan pe kachre pe aa gaye ki nahi (Think about it. One lakh sons of Ravan, one and a half lakh grandchildren of Ravan, and soldiers of Ravan were there? All the soldiers were killed. So everyone's swords, everyone's weapons, went into the garbage, didn't it)?"
Aniruddhacharya Shares That Australia Was “Astralay"
The spiritual speaker then mentioned that a pile of weapons was created in Lanka. According to him, Lord Rama, who was worried about all those weapons, thought that if someone got hold of Ravana or Meghnath's sword, they might misuse it. So, he asked his army to build a few ships and throw those weapons thousands of kilometres away from Lanka.
“Jahan Ram ji ne apni sena ko kaha ki jao astra rakh ke aao. Toh wo sainik jab wo astra rakhne ke liye gaye toh astralay jahan tha, astra jahan wo rakhe, uska naam pada Australia (Ram ji asked his army to keep the weapons at that place. So, when they kept the weapons at the armoury, that came to be known as Australia)," he explained.

Internet Is In Splits As Aniruddhacharya's Explanation Goes Viral
The clip, shared with the sarcastic caption “FACTS," garnered over 6.7 million views. Reacting to it, one user said, “Tabhi main soch raha hun ki Australia wale cricketers bat ko talwar ki tarah chalate hai jaise Ramayan mein talwarein chalti thi."
“Ek din Ram ne Hanuman ko bola JaPan leke aa," another joked.
Someone else commented, “Justice For Australia."
