Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday's Saiyaara achieved widespread acclaim and commercial success, becoming one of the top five films of 2025. Making the young actors overnight sensations, the Mohit Suri-directed romantic musical marked the comeback of old-school love stories after years of dearth. After a successful run in theatres for over 50 days, Saiyaara premiered on Netflix on September 12, 2025. Now, ahead of Valentine's Day 2026, the film has returned to select theatres in India. As of now, a few shows are running in major cities. Saiyaara re-released in cinema halls without any prior announcement by the production house, YRF.
According to BookMyShow, Saiyaara has limited shows in metro cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Pune. The ticket booking platform reflected that the film is running in Mumbai over the weekend, whereas the Delhi audience can watch it till Wednesday. Tickets are priced nominally for the re-release.
On Saiyaara's half-year anniversary in January, Aneet and Ahaan reunited to recreate their iconic Abhi Kuch Pal Baaki Hai scene. Dressed in a white kurta and jeans, just like her on-screen character Vaani Batra, she posed with her co-star, who was seated on a bike. Her caption read, “18.07.25 —> 18.01.26 (sic).”
In a recent interview with Femina, Aneet spoke about the weight of being seen after Saiyaara's success. Calling it emotionally jarring to see people having opinions about her, the actress eventually learnt how not to let it consume her. Recalling how her co-star Ahaan helped her ease down the overwhelming pressure, Aneet said, “Ahaan and I kept saying one thing to each other: ‘Let's remind the world of a kind of love they've forgotten. Let's do it for love.'” His words of wisdom did wonders for her as she could handle the post-release response better.
Aneet also said in the same interview that the messages and calls she received after Saiyaara's release was ‘too much for her nervous system'. Understanding the responsibility and the magnitude of fame, she expressed gratitude that it happened to her.
Saiyaara tells the story of Vaani Batra, an aspiring journalist, and Krish Kapoor, who dreams of becoming the biggest singing sensation. Their worlds collide and they fall head over heels in love with each other. However, their love story isn't obstacle-free. Saiyaara is about how love can conquer odds. The film earned Rs 398.25 crore (India gross) and its worldwide collection was Rs 569.75 crore.
