Aishwarya's Hollywood debut became a major talking point in Bollywood, with even Amitabh Bachchan expressing his hot take!
In 2004, Karan Johar hosted Aishwarya Rai on his show, Koffee With Karan. He played a montage of actors reacting to Aishwarya's Hollywood stint, and the video still goes viral to this day. When asked whether Aishwarya would “make it" in Hollywood, Amitabh Bachchan said, “She will go a certain distance, but then there will be the glass ceiling."

After her Hollywood debut, Aishwarya Rai later appeared in The Mistress of Spices, Provoked, and The Pink Panther 2 opposite Steve Martin. While the actress had a short acting stint in Hollywood, her Cannes red carpet appearances keep her relevant globally.
