Amitabh Bachchan Lauds Shubman Gill On KBC 17, Says 'Bahut Adbhut Khelte Hai'
In the recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, Amitabh Bachchan praised the Indian cricketer Shubman Gill. The Bollywood superstar was interacting with one of the contestants when he called Gill an ‘inspiration' and added lauded his game.
“He is so young and plays so good. He has become an inspiration. Bahut adbhut khelte hai that he has been made the captain," Big B said.
It is no secret that Amitabh Bachchan is an ardent follower of cricket. He often writes about the sport and even team India's matches either on his blog or on his X handle. In February this year, the actor also visited the iconic Wankhede Stadium to cheer for team India during the T20I final match against England. He was also accompanied by his son and fellow actor Abhishek Bachchan, who was spotted enjoying the pulsating contest from the corporate box.
Social media was abuzz with snapshots of the father-son duo, where Amitabh, draped in a white hoodie, and Abhishek, proudly donning a Team India jersey, were seen deeply engrossed in the game.
While Amitabh Bachchan is currently hosting KBC 17, he was last seen in the Tamil-language film Vettaiyan, an action drama film directed by TJ Gnanavel and starring Rajinikanth. Next, the 82-year-old superstar will be seen in Ramayana: Part 1 by Nitesh Tiwari. He will be seen playing the role of Jatayu in the film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash.
Besides this, Amitabh Bachchan is also awaiting the release of his courtroom thriller drama Section 84. Made under the direction of Ribhu Dasgupta, the film also stars Abhishek Banerjee and Nimrat Kaur. Besides this, Amitabh will also reprise his role as Ashvatthama in Nag Ashwin's upcoming Kalki 2. Set in the year 2898 AD, the film blends sci-fi with ancient mythology. The shooting is expected to begin in December.
