Recently, a video of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's newly constructed dream home in Bandra, Mumbai, went viral on social media. The video showcased the full front view of the celebrity couple's six-storey bungalow which is reportedly valued at around Rs 250 crore. Now, Alia Bhatt has strongly condemned the unauthorized filming and circulation of the video, calling it a ‘clear invasion of privacy' and a serious security issue. She stated that the video was recorded and circulated without her knowledge or consent, and urged anyone who has posted it to remove it immediately.
Alia Bhatt Issues Statement After Video Of Her Newly Constructed Bungalow Goes Viral
On Tuesday, Alia Bhatt shared a statement strongly condemning the viral video of her newly built home. “I understand that in a city like Mumbai, space is limited – sometimes the view from your window is another person's home. But that does not give anyone the right to film private residences and push those videos online. A video of our home – still under construction – has been recorded and circulated by multiple publications, without our knowledge or consent. This is a clear invasion of privacy and a serious security issue. Filming or photographing someone's personal space without permission is not “content" – it's a violation. It should never be normalized," she wrote.

She further added, “Think about it: would you tolerate videos of the inside of your home being shared publicly, without you knowing? None of us would. So here's a humble but firm request if you come across such content online, please don't forward it or share it further. And to our friends in the media who have carried these images and videos: I urge you to take them down immediately. Thank you."
Alia Bhatt's fans came out in support of the actress. “Privacy comes first always," wrote one fan, while another one commented, “Privacy holds significant importance, regardless of one's profession as an actress." A third netizen called it, “Unethical."
Alia Bhatt And Ranbir Kapoor's Newly Constructed Mumbai Bungalow
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's dream house is reportedly estimated to be worth a whopping Rs 250 crore. It is located in Bandra's upscale Pali Hill area. The property, which originally belonged to Ranbir's grandparents, Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor, was inherited by Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir's parents, in 1980. The house has been under construction for a few years, during which Alia, Ranbir, and their daughter Raha have often been seen visiting the site. Neetu Kapoor has also frequently been clicked by the paparazzi at the construction site.
On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will share screen space in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film ‘Love And War'. This film will mark their second on-screen collaboration after the 2022 film Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji.
Alia also has YRF's Alpha with Sharvari in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Ranbir will be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana.
