‘AI Video’ Of Snake ‘Performing Aarti’ At Lord Shiva’s Temple Shocks Internet: ‘Record Karo Koi Yakin Nahi Karega’
If you thought you had seen every kind of temple miracle, think again. A short clip from a local temple has now taken over the internet, not because of a grand ritual but an unexpected visitor performing aarti that looks straight out of mythology. In the video, a black snake is seen performing aarti in front of the idol of Lord Shiva. However, it is not confirmed if the snake is real or a cleverly engineered illusion.
The video also captures a group of devotees praying before the idol when, in a moment straight out of a movie, a snake suddenly appears. It is seen balancing a plate of aarti with lit diyas, lifting it with the upper part of its body. Remarkably, no one panics or moves away. Instead, the devotees stand still, watching in disbelief—some even lifting their phones to record the surreal sight.
Shared on Reddit, the clip soon gained momentum. Users were quick to drop some funny comments, with one even taking it all a notch higher as they wrote, “America kya kehta tha," referring to the meme that previously broke the Internet. Meanwhile, another user pointed out, “Animal abuse would stop. I few months ago, I posted a video where we could see thousands of people coming out of the Jungle holding snakes and chanting. So I hope the technology will help keep idiots away from innocent Snakes."
Is The Video AI-generated?
In between this, some claimed that the video could be AI-generated. One of the individuals noted, “AI is dangerous in India; it can spread fake news immediately." Replying, another said, “Lack of critical thinking is dangerous. Plenty of fake news was spread before AI too." Someone else, with the same opinion, added, “The video is AI-generated."
While no official confirmation has emerged, the video continues to generate excitement, curiosity and a bit of mystery.
When Snake Sat On Shivling
Earlier this year, at the Narmadeshwar Mahadev Temple, a snake was spotted sitting coiled on the Shivling, leaving the onlookers stunned. According to a report by India Today, a snake charmer was passing through the temple area when a few devotees nearby asked him if they could see the reptile he was carrying. As he opened his basket, one of the snakes slipped out, headed to the temple and climbed onto the Shivling.

The snake stayed there for nearly 20 minutes and was wrapped around the Shivling throughout.
