Dhurandhar 2: Aditya Dhar, Ranveer Singh Film's Pirated Version LEAKED In Pakistan
Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 was finally released in theatres on March 19 with paid previews available from March 18. However, soon after the film was officially released, its pirated version was available in Pakistan, as mentioned by some accounts on X. Some accounts shared photos of the film being viewed in Pakistan.
A journalist named Khalid Mehmood Khalid took to X and shared, “Watching Dhurandhar 2 in Lahore." To this, journalist Aditya Raj Kaul, who also worked as a Research Consultant on Dhurandhar, replied, “Sadly, Dhurandhar – The Revenge pirated version has reached Pakistan today itself."
He also mentioned, “Below is a Pakistani Journalist confirming the same and enjoying the film on his Home Screen. Pakistanis can’t live without Indian Cinema even if it’s about crushing Pakistani terror! 😊"
Before the news of piracy came out, many social media accounts from across the globe had also shared video clips and stills from the film. This happened despite Aditya Dhar urging fans not to leak spoilers online.
In his message, the director described Dhurandhar as more than just a film, calling it a shared experience that evolved from being “ours" to belonging to the audience and eventually the world. He also made a sincere appeal to viewers to preserve the theatrical experience by avoiding spoilers, emphasising the importance of discovering the film’s twists and emotions firsthand in cinemas. The director even asked the audience not to leave their seats until the credits stop rolling, probably hinting at Dhurandhar 3.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 is currently playing in theatres and fans are largely praising the film for its performance, background score and direction. However, a certain section of the audience is unhappy about the political narrative of the film. News18 Showsha gave the film 3.5 stars.
Part of our review read, “As far as performances are concerned, the soul of Dhurandhar 2 lies firmly with Ranveer Singh, who delivers an absolutely outstanding act. He is undeniably the star of the film, carrying the narrative on his shoulders with remarkable ease and conviction. From the very first scene, Ranveer Singh commands attention with an intense screen presence that is hard to look away from."
“Overall, despite its scale and ambition, Dhurandhar 2 feels slightly weaker in comparison to the original film, which was released in December 2025. While the sequel amps up action and visual spectacle, it misses the tighter storytelling that made the first film a blockbuster. Certain subplots, like the underdeveloped romance and limited use of key characters, dilute its impact. The pacing also feels uneven, with portions that could have been skipped. Even some thematic elements appear forced, making the narrative less organic. As a result, despite its highs, the sequel doesn’t quite match the original’s overall effectiveness," our review also mentioned.
