For many young couples, keeping the relationship a secret from their parents can be daunting. From sneaking out at odd hours to discreet late-night phone calls, every interaction is nothing short of a carefully planned operation. But sometimes they get caught red-handed, frantically scouring for excuses to explain themselves. Along similar lines, a 19-year-old woman shared her embarrassing story of getting caught by her father while she and her boyfriend were on a scooter.

The woman recounted the experience on Reddit, requesting tips on how to navigate the situation. “I was going with my boyfriend to a new cafe in our city, assuming that my father had gone for his duty (he is in the police). When I accidentally turned my head back, I saw my father following us. I immediately told him to stop the scooty," she wrote.

Woman Travelling With Boyfriend Gets Caught By Father

The woman revealed that her father had a rather “polite" conversation with her partner, asking him about his name, college and address. The father gave her two options: either to carry on the ride with her boyfriend or take him home, to which she chose the latter. However, the woman claimed that since the incident, her father neither brought up the topic nor did he tell anyone about it.

Asking Redditors for help, the woman wanted to know, “Should I accept that he's my boyfriend when my father asks me about that boy, or should I tell him he's just a friend and we were going to meet our other friends at the cafe?"

“Laugh hard and say woh Rapido wala hai (he's a Rapido driver)", suggested a user. But the woman dismissed the idea, claiming that she lives in a Tier 2 city where there are no such ride-hailing services like Rapido.

“Baap baap hota hai isliye unko sab pata hoga (A father is a father, that's why he knows everything)", pointed out another “Patient volcano finding the right time to blast," joked an individual. “That's why you should wear a helmet," noted one person.
